Changing the color of my calipers
My 2016 m5 is Tanzanite Blue and i just dont like the color contrast between the oem blue calipers and the car. I am thinking of painting the calipers white and putting new decals on them. Ive painted many calipers over the years so foing the project is not an issue.
What i am curious about is what colors have been done by other members? I cant be the only one that didnt like the oem color calipers with my paint color. Does anyone have a picture of an alternative color? |

I don’t disagree about the OE caliper color - I’ve never been a fan. My car is MCB, and I have a set of calipers getting stripped/polished/cleared for my current setup. I ordered two piece rotors and the hats are anodized a bright blue that matches the MCB, so I’m polishing the caliper to tone down the color. I’ll post pics when it’s all finished.
I’ve never seen white calipers on a car that wasn’t white or had some sort of substantial white tie-in mods (i.e white wheels, white graphics, etc), which is not easy to make look good IMO. What’s going on with the center air dam on your front bumper? Is it rattle-canned matte black? |

I think a burnt copper with black brembo decals would look great on yours.
I'm going to do mine bright red with white brembo decals. Debating whether to do it myself or pay $600-$800 (quotes I got) for a professional. |

I used VHT engine enamel and just prepped them like any other paint project.
Clean with brake cleaner to get the old stubborn brake dust off. Wipe down with paint thinner, light sanding, clean again with paint thinner, primer, paint, clear. |
