Engine Missfire 4cyl

So my M5 popped a drivetrain error and on INSTA it shows missfire on dme2 from cyl 4 to cly8, I changed the plugs and the coils but the missfire came back, my car is a 2013 with only 11.000 miles. What is you expererience with this?

My next guess are the injectors but I dont want to buy 8 injectors based on a hunch?

Thank you very much

causes of misfire: coils, plugs, injectors, DME, Motor. if u still have warranty just drop it off. Being that is fully stock, and you've already did plugs and coils. i'd say injector.

Low Miles - possible fuel issues

One very good possibility is, due to the very low miles of the car, fuel quality was compromised somewhere along the line due to lack of use. Once the DME detects bad fuel, it is hard to correct it as this requires a specific count of on/off cycles and miles. Went through that with my car. The same fuel quality could have also gummed up your injectors.

I agree with this, It’s the logical place to start. Full fuel system clean out and filter change before I’d start throwing money at engine components, assuming it doesn’t have some kind of warranty. I’d also check the battery condition for the same reason the fuel could have jellified - simply not enough use. Low or poor battery condition can throw misleading faults.
