when dealer is showing a 10, there are times i surrender w a 15/16. know when to walk away is probably the best advice i can give anyone....i've won and lost thousands, i hate that game! i've moved onto play poker more so now a days.

i can keep track of the cards for the most part but i'm usually inebriated so it doesnt work. with that said, i'll be in vegas june 10th for till sunday.

for counting cards, 2,3,4,5,6 = +1 and 10, J, Q, K, A = -1 and 7, 8, 9 = 0. you wanna bet big when your count is in the high +xxx. that's the very simple, basic counting cards instruction.

always count the aces in the deck and how many have been exposed. less chance of getting a Blackjack.

That's the basic way for single deck. Its harder when you have multiple decks in play.

Indeed. For multiple decks, you need to divide the running count by the number of decks unseen. Very complex.

In single decks, I prefer sitting on a table with 3 hands on the table. The dealer will usually shuffle the deck after the second hand if there are more than 4 hands playing at one time. With 3 hands playing, you have a better gauge of the deck after the second hand and hopefully get a nice count on the third hand.

Single decks are too slow. Double decks are better.

Double decks are fun and a lot easier to catch streaks than single decks. Single decks are good to learn on.

OP, just learning to keep a running count, learn basic strategy and keeping track of the aces will improve your blackjack skills tremendously for now. The next step is know how to bet accordingly. there are many books you can purchase if you wanna become an expert.

Basic rules I follow are pretty similar to the website linked earlier. What you do depends just as much on what the dealer has as what you have:

Dealer showing a 4,5, or 6 - prime hands for you, the dealer has the best chance of busting. Best bet is to stay unless you have the opportunity to split or double (or hit with zero risk, e.g., you hold a 2 and a 3). Double down if you have an A and anything.

Dealer showing a 2 - pull to beat a 12

Dealer showing a 3 - pull to beat a 13

Dealer showing anything else - pull to 17 or above.

You have pairs - split unless you'll have two weak hands afterwards (i.e., 3, 4, or 6). Never split 10's. Always split A's.

Double Down - always on 11, sometimes on 10 (including pairs of 5's), depending on how aggressive I'm feeling. I won't usually double a 10 against a dealer showing an 8 or higher.

Finally - learn a progressive betting system so you don't automatically put back what you win. Blackjack is a game of streaks, you need to get money on the table when you're on a streak but be able to hold your own (or maybe slightly profit) when you're going through the normal win/lose/win/lose pattern.

I follow a 2-1-2-3-4-5-6... pattern. This means I always start a betting series with two units (units can be whatever you want them to be, I usually use the table minimum). If I win, I pull back my winnings and bet only one unit on the next hand. If I win that, I'll bet two units on the next hand, then three units, then four, etc. Once I lose a hand, I start the betting series back at two units. You'd be amazed how well this tends to work with a streaky game like blackjack.

Learn how to count cards and when you double up leave. dont play at crowed tables, goto gamemasteronline or bj21.com or google bj info dont play single deck where blackjack pays 6-5. dont talk about card counting at the casino and i heard palm springs had good gams and barona has a marginal game 2 decks but learn counting first. oh and if you bring like a 1000 bucks dont max bet more than 100 andif you hare playing at those stake make sure you have like 5k you dont need and a job that pays 1000+ a week or like 20 k minimum if yu dont work. its real easy to learn how to count and will help you a great deal but you wont win every time. you might win a few in a row then los a few. the biggest streak i ever had was like 6 winning sessions in a row but lost it in like 2 or 3. poker is better until you get to like 600 and which should make you close to 150 an hour and comps but you need a roll of like 90 and you can play to hands of 300. poker takes a longer timme to beat but is fairly easy if you just play tight and push your hands very strong/ when you get over 200bb get up and go to another table or just go home.

When you double down, that means you are ganna recieve ONE card and you are betting twice on whatever your original bet is. And if you win, you get 2x teh amount.

Example..

You recieved a 7 card and a 4 card = 11. You now have an 11, you tell the dealer "double down" and you put the same bet again, and the dealer gives you one more card. (Hoping its 10, = 21). After you double down, you cant hit after it. So its smart to say "double down" when have 10 or 11. Maybe 12. But dont push it..

get it?

Additionally, all the casinos I've been to, they require players to make hand signals (so that the cameras can see) when you want to hit, stay, double, or split.

When doubling, put out additional chips to match your bet off to the left of it, and make the signal of pointing one finger. You'll get one (and only one) card. Most time if you want to double for less, you can do so.

With splitting, you match your bet, and point two fingers out to make the split signal. You play now as if you have two hands with each card split as one.

Just google hilo card counting. no side coint for the ace its already counted -1 if you hsee like eight aces come out in the first half deck you can try to cutthem to the top but it will get shuffled higher. the dealer has to break the cards and piles evenly. just watch and see if you can cut thm to the top.
