NEED HELP : Limp Mode as we call it.....

Everyone,

So from what Ive read, my car has been familiar with the limp mode condition.
Background info: Before installing my BMS and catless downpipes, I had never seen or had this issue.

After install, the issue would come up periodically upon WOT/hard acceleration, car would lose power and I would need to pull over, turn off, and turn back on, issue would go away.

After about 5 months, I have now removed the BMS tune, my e-mann race exhaust, and ONLY have the catless DP's on the car.

I had been driving the car without the drivetrain malfunction for a good 3 weeks, no issues ......even with the catless DPs.....

SUDDENLY, this past 3 days, I cannot make a proper point and to point B trip without the car going into limp mode, 8/10 times I punch the throttle ( and its not even a hard acceleration) I would even just a moderate acceleration the car losses power.....

.....I can feel the car getting weird on me when I accelerate so I simple ease off the throttle to prevent this from happening.......its getting more and more frequent now.

ANY SUGGESTIONS??? Getting little worried. I have service set up next week. Taking to the same dealer that services my car with no issues with the BMS and same DPs on the car.

Take all the mods off before that service is my opinion. Let them fix the issue without blaming it on something else. It's 95% not because of the mods but it needs to be addressed without them on.

Should have spent the cash on the Dinan tune and kept the e-race. Dump the DP's. I have no issues at all.

Maybe your spark plugs are bad.

That would be my first thought too. Get those checked out ASAP. Same issue here when I had BMS

I had this issue. 2 Bad coils. Check that out. Got it after installing BMS, not sure if coincidental or not.

Ignition coil, example here:
http://www.buyautoparts.com/plabuyno...7LlhoCyMHw_wcB

There is one for each cylinder. One was visibly split and damaged, other one wasn't visible but they read code for which cylinder had misfire.

Thing is, sometimes I didn't feel a misfire, I'd stomp gas, it would immediately bog and go into limp mode with BMS.

Have you logged anything, checked codes...etc?

Is it good insurance to just change them while the spark plugs are changed? Since it's not very expensive to change all 8.

Spark plugs and coils. Your catless downpipes will foul the plugs without a proper tune.
