Need help choosing an F10
Hello all,
I am looking at two 2012 and I am looking for some advice. Car 1 45k km Has night vision CPO is $3300 but salesman already said he'd knock $1500 off and I could probably get him to go to $2k off Salesman told me they just put new front tires on it, which leads me to believe it was driven fault hard. Car 2 56k KM CPO included already but haven't talked to him about any price discount The asking price for car 2 is $1000 more than car 1 and other than night vision, the cars are identically optioned. I appreciate and comments/suggestions/warnings to run away from both. Thanks! |

I think you'll have a hard time finding an M5 that hasn't been driven hard. In the mileage your looking at I would expect someone to be on their 3rd set of tires. So don't worry about the fronts being used.
Get the service history of both, make sure you're not buying a lemon. CPO is the way to go. When things do break it's expensive. Have the disks / brakes checked for exact usage. A brake job on these is north of $3k in Canada. Could be an additional bargaining point. If they're due now is the time to negotiate a cheaper price. Same goes for tires. I generally get tires at cost when buying a car.

Good advice, Phil.
I have already gotten the vehicle history report, neither of which show any accidents although one of them lists a couple "service" entries by BMW but no other information while the other only lists registration entries. I am waiting for the BMW service records from the dealerships. And yes, I will certainly be getting a CPO warranty. The one salesman said it could be extended for an additional year, for a total of three so I assume it will be the same for both. I'm also still waiting to hear about the brakes and tires. |

I think the salesman is mistaken on the 3 year CPO. Unless something has changed very recently that was only available on non M models.
Good luck with the purchase.
