M5 Front License plate

Getting an M5 out of state.. of course the state the M5 is in Dealer has already attached front license bracket onto it... Has anyone had any success with having the holes filled? Will most likely switch it for a euro plate regardless but just curious of anyone else' experience with this.

Thanks in advance

You can have the holes filled by a body shop, but it would involve respraying the entire or at least most of the front bumper. If you are going this route, you can also ask to remove the orange reflectors in the front bumper. Now you will have a "euro" bumper!

I did this on my E93 M3 back in the day...

One option is to get bumperplugs.com they work great and are a low outlay option. Mine had the same issue and I removed the bracket and there were just two small holes. I had a full wrap don't on the car and unless you really look you can't see them. My car is Black Saphire Metalic but on a light color it might be more obvious.

I would go right ahead and order the European version of your bumper and keep your original one as a spare. No holes whatsoever.

Yeah but then to match paint is a PITA, I would just go to a body shop and see how much it costs to get those holes plugged..

Very true. I would go through the trouble of Paint matching simply to have a clean looking bumper. Either way it comes down to preference
