DCT gearbox stuck in 1st
Whilst driving in stop start traffic in auto mode the gearbox was stuck in 1st.
Tried to engage 2nd using the paddle shift but nothing doing. As the traffic cleared and at 4000 rev it jumped to 3rd and then 5th. So the gears 2, 4, 6 are not engaging in auto or manual mode. Parked the car turned engine off and now everything is back to normal. Never had this before on this m5 nor on my last m3 which I had for 4 years. Anyone else out there had this issue? Seems like a control unit problem on the the dct gearbox. |

Difficult to tell but it does sound like one of the clutch plates is out of spec.
One plate operates 1, 3, 5, 7 One plate operates 2, 4, 6 Bring it to the dealer for diagnosis.
