Yup. The problem with turbo engines and with the S63tu engine in particular since the intakes are on the bottom of the engine, is that even with straightpipes we are still missing a lot of sound from the intake side of the engine.

The exhaust explaination on the new M3/M4, explains it really well here and you can understand why ///M had to come with a way to inject some engine sound into the cabin any way they could. I don't blame them either.
