Securing towing hook cover

In the rear bumper there is a plastic piece that covers the receptor for the towing hook. Twice now, that piece has fallen out, so I ended up buying a new one and getting it painted to match my car. A real pain, and as I understand a fairly common occurrence. I would like to make the cover less susceptible to falling out, and am thinking of using a small dab of rubber cement. Of course crazy glue would work, but that would render the cover useless should I need to attach the towing hook. Just wondering what others have tried, and how it worked in better securing the cover, while still allowing it to be removeable. Thanks.

I had the same issue. The dealer replaced it with a new one and the problem was resolved. It was covered under warranty.
