M6 CP corner balance scale weight 4195

So I finally weighed my 2014 M6 CP every option including CCB, B@O and M performance exhaust . 100% full tank of gas . On corner scales it came in at 4195 lbs . So not too shabby . Finally glad to put a solid weight out there . Look at the cross weight % perfect !! She's big but balanced . So it's a good weight gap between it and the M5 after all .

Wow, much lighter than I thought. I weighed my M5 at the track and with me in the car it weighed 4,655lbs with my 245lbs, helmet and just over 3/4 tank of gas. So it probably is around 4,400lbs without me and the helmet.

Yep a good 200 lbs lighter for sure than a comparably equipped M5. So much for the M4 being 800 pounds less lol . Since the M5/6 have essentially the same dimensions I wonder where the weight goes ? The CF roof is maybe 30-40 lbs , so where is the other 160.

Additional door hinges, glass, electric motors and supports for the second set of doors?

Yeah I guess so , at any rate the weight diff explains the performance difference we have seen .

If I didn't need the extra room in the back I would be driving an M6. What a great looking car!

M6 is rated to 4255lb according to BMWNA and it's based on the average well equipped M6 in US! yours have forged rims, CCB and CP; so 60lb lighter make sense!

Sweet. Good to know we can get the M6 into the 10's at least.

No problem! Somebody needed too can't believe I was the first. Even at 600 hp the power to weight is in the sixes bone stock . That's pretty awesome . With intake, DP's and BMS at 700hp crank it's at 5.99 !! That's some pretty rare company .

Wow. That is impressive. Starting to think a M6 is more fitting for me too.
