Nice collection. I'd like to see the Porsche 959 sitting next to it.

140k? You'd seriously drop that for this car?
I'd take a new GT3, used Superleggera, Scud, DBS, new Lotus Exige V6 R cup, or any other variety of used super cars before I'd touch an ancient M5. :

Fantastic find, but just a bit expensive, right?. Be cool to have a M5 flight...E28 through my F10.

Wow! That's an incredible machine, and surely one of only a handful in that condition, at most.
Given that the car essentially started the M5 and sports sedan revolution, I think it's worth a solid 120k to the right buyer.

I would not be surprised if BMW themselves bought this car and placed it in a museum. 155k is chump change for a manufacturer to expend on a museum piece.

Obviously this would appeal to a collector. No rational enthusiast could justify it.

Interesting price. The key is how many were manufactured, and 140k think not for invest purposes buying at the hghend is never good. However th car is very sexy. I would pay about 75k tops.

Did some research actually 1236 were manufactured, and resale is between 10k to 18k. The big question is now 18k is the high end does it warrant 6 figures. However it's irrelevant if you just want the car regardless of value. Hell, if I can't drive the crap out of it, and it breaks no need for me to have it just looking at in my garage. My new price is 60k it was 50k new 25 years ago. Make the dude whole plus 10k. Value on old cars typically increase when less than 300 were produced.
