2012 F10 M5 Rear Revealed... with 550i bumper?
We bring you the first ever photos of the 2012 F10 M5 with its rear camouflage completely removed, but what's underneath is a surprise. It appears to be a 550i bumper (shown by the slanted rectangular exhaust cutout). Perhaps the 550i bumper is on merely for testing? Or is BMW having a little fun with us? Either one is fine with us as we hope the final M5 rear bumper design is more aggressive than this.

will they fill the license plate area like the E60 M5?
so far the rear doesn't look aggressive enough. at least compare to the current M5, which i love very much. |

I'm pretty sure that is a stock F10 550i rear bumper which has dual rectangular exhaust cutouts being used on this M5. There is no way that is the M5 rear bumper. Even the already released M sport rear bumper is more aggressive than that.

i can guarantee this is not the final version. This is what title says - a 550i bumber with cutouts for M5s exhaust setup. I think it's pretty obvious.

We are still a year out from seeing the "production" car , they are currently hot weather testing so cosmetic appendages apart from the front are not necessary at this point.

I doubt the real rear will have reflectors in the bumpers just like the E60 and E46 M cars didn't while the base models did (mostly).

Everybody's focussing that much on the 550i rear bumper that the changed (darker) rear lights go unnoticed, or so it seems.
Best regards, south

I noticed it but I wasent sure if they looked much diffrent than the 550 tailights, which also seem to be a little darker.
