IPhone 6 does not take good pics. I apologize. It is Caramel leather in all the pics except for 1 - which is Amaro Brown.

Pic1 - Walnut Honey + Caramel + moonstone
Pic 2: Sycamore red + Caramel + Moonstone
In pic 1 and 2, caramel looks lighter than it actually is

Pic 4: Sycamore + Caramel + space gray
Pic 5: Walnut honey + Caramel + space gray

Pic 6: Walnut honey + Caramel + Imperial Blue

Pic 7: Walnut honey + Amaro Brown + Space gray (shades are messed up)

Pic 8: Walnut honey + Caramel (looks much lighter than it actually is) + San marino Blue
Pic 9: Sycamore + Caramel (looks much lighter than it actually is) + San marino Blue

I do like like the greys like space and mineral and every BMW I've owned other than my X5 (Black) has been in those colors, but blue is my favorite color I'm just not flashy. Moonstone is a great color in person too. I think San Marino is a beautiful color and would look good with your interior choices. SMB seems to approach that line between sleeper or subdued as opposed to here I am, look at me paint. I was torn between YMB and Azurite, but ultimately gave up and went with Azurite. Tough choice, good luck.

While I LOVE San Marino Blue on the M6, I don't like it on the M5.

For me, I prefer more subtle colors on the M5. I view the M5 as a low key, not flashy daily driver. But that's just my preference.

My vote would be for your first two choice. M-stone or P-brown.

The brown will be just a tad bit more 'luxury' in my opinion. But just slightly since moonstone is what I'd consider a 'warmer' hue of silver.

The best thing is this... No matter what you choose, you just can't go wrong.

Best of luck!

Thanks Phil. I was thinking the same that SMB is more suited to M6's slippery shape. M5 is a bit more traditional and SMB may just be too loud on it for my taste. I just uploaded the color swatch combos. Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks

Thanks Bronch. I was leaning towards SMB, but now I am thinking it maybe too flashy for my taste on M5. Wife made a comment the other day that she would want a M6 GC some day(wooohoooooo!), so maybe I can pick that up in a year or so in SMB. For now, after seeing the color swatches (which I just uploaded), I am thinking that Moonstone is not a bad option and neither is space gray. They will go well with the Caramel interior.

I think this would be gorgeous and a one-of-a-kind M5.

Walnut honey looks better with caramel, IMHO.

San Marino blue is a strong electric blue and a common color for the M6. It's just not one of my favorite colors.

Moonstone and caramel are hard colors to capture. The actual caramel color is a bit darker than the one in the moonstone pics.
I think there is plenty enough contrast between Moonstone and the caramel leather interior. Moonstone is one of those colors that looks better the closer you get to it and the more light that strikes it.

It's strictly a matter of personal preference but I can tell you that brown is probably the worst possible color for resale value, if you want to add that to your calculations. Any light color is easier to maintain that a dark color.

Of the color combinations you are considering, I would vote for Moonstone with Caramel-Walnut Honey trim. It will probably be the only one in the entire world!

Thank you. And merry Christmas to all.

I will be deciding in next couple of days. Safe to say pyrite brown is out of running now. It's moonstone, SMB or MCB.

Decided and locked. Moonstone it is!

Wife thinks SMB would be tiring after first few times. Darker Blues were ok but I know how much I have to work to keep them clean since any visible dirt bothers the hell out of me. I probably spent more time cleaning my car last winter than driving it.

Now the wait begins to get the car.

Saw a moonstone M5 in person last week... you will not be dissappointed in this color, and I think your interior will complement it nicely...

If glacier silver was neutral, and silverstone was the "cool" silver, moonstone would be the "warm" silver.

I think a moonstone vs. silverstone side by side would look cool.

Good description, I would add this; indy colours such as moonstone, champagne quartz, etc. have an iridescent effect that the likes of SSII lack. Some like this effect, some don't - I'd love to see Sepia on an F10 M5.

Thank you. I posted this is on another thread - went to see a Moonstone in person which happened to have a Nutmeg interior. Loved the exterior and interior. Its just such a hard color to capture.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks B-1. I think you described the colors perfectly. Moonstone is really a warm silver with some really subtle hues to it.

I have moonstone and it is fantastic. Blue and purple hues in the dark and red and orange hues in the sunlight. You will love it!

Pyrite Brown. It's like a darker shade of turd.

Have had moonstone M5 for three years. To this day I am impressed with the colour. Really holds up well over time.

Order in now for the M6 GC and I had a heck of a time not ordering moonstone again but just did not like like the look with the carbon fibre roof.
