Michelin Super Sport Backorder

Hi all,

My F10 is due for registration, which means inspection. The inspector noticed that the inside of each front tire has run almost down to the cords, so it will not pass. (Don't know why this wasn't mentioned at the recent service, but...)

I called my local Discount Tire and they were having trouble locating the tires, so I tried another local shop as well as Tire Rack. Looks like the 265/35-20 Super Sport is backordered, not due until July.

Anyone have a line on a couple of these? I don't want to throw some other mismatch on there just to get through inspection. The rears are wearing ok. I'm assuming some sort of alignment problem on the front, but I can't deal with that until I have new rubber.

I think I've found a couple at the local dealer. Will post back if not the case.

I'll see if I can get you a set. I sold my set last week at $150 each tire. They were 8/32.

Toyo R888, Nitto N05, NT05R,NT555, Bridgestone, and a few more.

Kumho Ecsta PS91 is another one.

I'm currently running Kumho Ecsta PS91, they perform on par with MPSS.

They are very nice performance wise (I was the importer/distributor for a while), but they're crazy loud.

Try every "local" dealer possible (BMW won't allow loose tires to be shipped out of the market area).

Direct Wholesalers (DT/Tire Rack) won't receive stock until all the BMW Parts Distribution Warehouses are replenished.

Just a quick bump on this thread.

Anyone have any news on the availability of the Michelin PSS tires?

I also read that a PSS replacement was in the works and wonder if there any updates on the new tire.

Rears are now readily available but fronts are still in transit. ETA 25th of this month.

My pleasure. Thankfully Fentanyl exists so I'm more comfortable albeit a bit loopy lol.
