Widest possible rear 20'' Rears
Been thinking about getting a new set of wheels and was wondering if anyone knew what the widest possible wheel we do go with for the rears on stock CP suspension? 20x12?

11 would probably be your best bet, to prevent any tire rubbing. As you can see from the picture below, running a 11" +25, its pretty aggressive. Let me know if i can be of any assistance in helping you get a set.

12" with 325's would be a perfect choice but would need a perfect ET, tyre make and type will need careful selection and possibly rolled fenders on an M5.
Inerrested to see if anyone has this info... |

Same here would like to see pics. Has anyone tried 325 on a 21x11 since 315 is apparently not available or is 305 the max? The 305 PSS on my 21x11 have much more stretch than the 295 Pzero on my 20x10 601s

I ran multiple tire sizes, the one thats in the photo is a 295/30/R21 PSS X (not XL) . Never ran 25 profile tires, which obviously would yield much wider tire, but my city got 3rd world problems.
I've experimented with many dif sizes on those wheels, due to my offset however, I cannot go wider than 305 unless I do 25 profile, or shave the back bolt face on the wheels (its made thicker intentionally so I have that option). Had 305/30 P-Zero GT's, 285/35 Pilot Sports, few others I forgot. Favorite has been the same I have now, but XL tires, they're meatier, provide just the right stretch so I can see the little bit of the lip from straight back, and a nice chunky wall. Depends on the ET. Your OEM 343M (M5) has 34 mm offset on rear coming with 295 tire so if you want to use 315 tire you need offset about 24-25 then you can go for 11" rims however you might have some rubbing issue on fender side.

BRB, gunna go take it off just for you.
You do realize that they are functional, and that people may actually use them for valid reasons. This wasn't a photoshoot, or a planned photo, just caught a moment. Anyway, smh. Quote:
Fronts are... lame. The wheels were literally assembled 24hrs before a show, and inner barrels I needed wouldn't be available till after the weekend, so I got stuck with what was available on the spot - resulted in a disappointing 9.5". The faces & outer barrels are already spec'd out to accomondate a wider inner barrel that would result in 10.5", which was originally planned. I just removed the wheels off the car since its going back on lease so I'll end up ordering wider inner barrels and rebuilding them once I figure out what BMW they'll be going on next. If I was to build another set, I could say that I would comfortably go with 12.5" rear & 11" front. Wheels are by Kompression Wheels (godfather of the 3pc forged wheel industry in the US). I designed the concept, they did the engineering corrections (maximing safety & reliablity while maintaining aggressive structural design). This is the only set of wheel like this, would love to go through the process again to make some minor adjustments and clean up the design a little bit more so it's even more OEM, but 3pc. The spoke design is based on the M4 style 437's |
