Side Mirrors Folding In

Hi All,

I always like for my side mirrors to be folded in when parked... Does anybody know if there is a setting to automatically have them fold in when the car is locked? Then drop when unlocked?

You need to code this. See thread on coding.

Simply hold your finger on comfort access button for 2-3 seconds
Or hold lock button on the key, when u locking the car and your mirrors will fold, once u open the car, they will unfold

On USA market cars what you describe requires coding.

I think the op meant hold our finger on the ribbed area of the door handle if you have comfort access.. still, we in North America don't have this capability.

Thanks all! Can the dealer do the coding for this? Or would it need to be a local shop?

If local does anybody know some one in the south Florida market.. Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale or even Miami

Thats crazy!
Same as you cant see tire pressure and temperature without coding it!
Whats the big deal to get it programmed straight away! Why they make it so complicated for themselves?!

+1 - Richard will hook you up. He did mine, folding mirrors on their own is one of the best features. Not just because it looks cool, but because people dont know how to park in the States.

you shouldn't need it on a UK car, leave mirrors down, lock the car, press and hold the BMW button, mirrors should fold up. Open car, mirrors should fold down.

if not speak to v12 - he can do remote coding if you have a windows laptop and wifi.

v12 is the man.

Visit V12's profile page and leave a message letting him know you want coding done. He did mine yesterday and it couldn't have gone any better. Smoothest process in the world with him!

Ethernet/RJ45 to OBD2 - you find them on Ebay. I think V12 can source them also.
