It's not a misfire. Scan with ISTA and you will see it is a rod 5-7 DCT error. I assume this happens ONLY in 4th gear to redline just before shift into 5th?
Try in Auto-1 or Auto-2 mode and see if it doesn't happen. Also try S1 and S2 mode. |

Did you get a chance to have a full vehicle scanned? What codes is your generic tool showing exactly?
You said you replaced your spark plugs. Did you gap them when doing so? |

Yes it happens when I hit 4th gear redline and shift to 5th , so basically it never goes into 5th but to limp mode. Try the second time and hit the rev limiter and bounced off in 4th just to see and again it went into limp mode. I would drive in max settings so MDM S3 . Never tried it in lower settings . You think it's the clutch? I'll try scanning it soon with ISTA. Also is gapping the plugs a must?

I'll scan it one more time on Monday and I will post the picture. I never gapped my plugs. Why should I?

Stock gap is too big for 600+ whp. Yes you can run the stock gap sometimes and some customers get away using it, but on all of our 680+ whp cars, we reduce the gap to 0.022

I sent you a pm.
At the very least, gap your plugs down. If gapping plugs doesn't solve your issue, flash back to stock and load a new tune. The older tunes were known to have issues.

If you're going to do meth and bcm, think about your clutch. I'm at 690/690 and my stock clutch is almost toast. Also, I would probably load a new file as the new tunes produce more power.

Yes, I just wasn't sure what impact this might have from a tune perspective on the motor..sure it's fine though!

Update:
Another problem!, when looking at the picture I uploaded of the codes I've been getting on my car the DME internal fault controller for oxygen sensor .... Code Has not gone away. I knew I would still have the engine light on when I flashed back to stock because of catless down pipes but when I scanned the car just to just to see , the code still came up along with the no cats code. ESS is saying I have a faulty ECU/ damaged circuit board and that if we flash with a new file I will still get the same problems I had before. Ess is saying its That particular code that is causing these problems with the car misfiring and going into limpmodes. When resetting the codes they come back rightaway at startup . |
