Good to hear that the rates are still favorable. Can someone clarify to me how the $1,500 and the customer loyalty ($1,000 I have been told) work? Can you combine them? So basically you negotiate deal and get to take another $2,500 off of that? It sounds too good to be true!

I was told there is no more customer loyalty incentive.
Please let me know if you hear otherwise and from what reputable source. So very pleased the rates stayed the same.

Bummer about the loyalty incentive. I had heard about it only about six to eight weeks ago on another board, but if you have heard from a reputable source I am sure that I correct.

Speaking Of Leases, how Hard Is it To Get Out Of A BMW Lease Early? I Tend To Keep My cars About 18 To 24 Months. Sorry About The Caps. Stupid Phone!

Seriously... I'm not an expert on the matter, but I can tell you any financial institution is going to hold you liable to the terms of the contract. They're not in business to let customers break leases. There may be an early term clause, but there will be a hefty number associated I would imagine. They will expect you to pay the full amount you agreed to in the contract (months x $monthly payment). If you want to get in/out of cars in 18-24 months, do a 24 month lease or finance. Just my two pennies...

I was hoping that BMW made it as easy as Porsche does. I have been able to end my last two leases from Porsche at about 18 months of a 36 month lease and it cost me about $2,000 out of pocket. The dealer gave me what he would if he was just buying a car used from a customer. I got out of my lease early and he got a good deal on a car in great shape.
Now that I am comparing things though, it looks like BMW is much more generous with their residuals than Porsche is so it would likely cost me quite a bit more to extricate myself early. Maybe I will have to consider a shorter lease term and just pay the increased monthly payment for the comfort of knowing I have an out in 24 or 30 months. |
