Thumbs down Total Disrespect to BMWs by Pkilla617 on Youtube (Now Fired)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Update: Jalopnik reports that Pkilla617 has been fired from his job at the Boston Autoport [with credit to M5POST members]

Quote:
Meet the man known on YouTube, Twitter and his personal blog as Pkilla617. Boston resident, aspiring rap artist, self-proclaimed marijuana and stripper enthusiast, and apparently, a former employee at the Boston Autoport, where he had access to a slew of brand new cars as they come into the harbor. We don't know his real name, how long he worked at the Autoport, or when he was terminated.

But what has some of the people over at M5 Post rankled is that Pkilla617 had a habit of shooting himself revving the new cars right after turning them on, then putting the videos out on his Twitter and YouTube page.

BMWs weren't the only targets. The Boston Autoport in Charlestown processes some 70,000 cars a year for import and export, so we also get to see him rev a new Subaru BRZ, a Maserati, and a Challenger R/T, just to name a few.

But the BMWs, particularly M cars, seemed to have been his favorite targets. (Not that anyone can blame him for that.) He even lamented the fact that one frozen gray M3 comes in rev-limited transport mode, but he still redlines it and records the sound.

Anyone else feel if this was their car they would be totally pissed?

This guy seems to unload or move the cars after they come to Boston.

This happens more often than you think with just about every marque that ships into the US. In fact, something very similar happened with my 550 when it made the trip to the US. I was there the day the car arrived at Baltimore. (Head of Port Security was former colleague of mine, got us right up to the ship.)

Young guy unloading the car decides to go for a bit of a joyride en route to VPC. Captured it all on my iPhone. He was speeding, revving the engine, and mishandling the car in general.

I talked to the VPC Manager on duty. The guy was instantly terminated. And BMW had to build me a new car.

What the hell is wrong with people. I hope my car makes it okay. Wouldnt want some idiot to redline a cold engine.

I thought the transport mode makes sure they cant go past a certain RPM, like 5,000 maybe?

People will do stupid things until they're caught. It's a fact of life.

In my circumstance, he was clearly doing just fine, transport mode or not...

There have been many incidents and I have seen a lot of young guys driving these cars around the lot. BMW needs to get responsible people taking care of these cars, they are not toys.

It's funny how he uses the same words over again , he clearly doesn't know jack squat about cars or handling them, where do BMW find these people? Looks like they just hire anyone these days.

i didn't see any part where he actually abused the car. maybe it wasn't filmed. but with the video we see, i don't think he did anything wrong. this guy is just filming and cruising around. i doubt he could or would drive WOT in the parking facility or outside of it for fear of wrecking something he could not easily explain away.

what i do have a problem with is service people who put an inappropriate number of miles on our cars doing who knows what, who have enough knowledge of how to drive these cars to actually do damage to them. and if something actually happened, there is no culpability and they have means at their disposal to try to cover it up.

Agreed, the M3 was clearly in transport mode and the redline limiter was set to 4500 RPM. My car came from the port like this when I bought it at the dealer. I didn't order it but it had 2 miles on it from it being put on and taken off the transport ship. No big deal, no one is going to harm it in 2 miles. The bigger risk is buying one with 40-50 miles on it that has been hot rodded with test drives. The salesguy at my local BMW place told me that some idiot took am M5 to 135 on Parmer with him in it during a test drive. I am sure that redlined it, more than once in fact.

Well I have to say that to understand how much better than a 550i the M5 is, you do have to take it to 135. The M5 can corner at 100mph+ whereas the regular 5s don't like that so much.

Dealers should just have demonstrator models of every car for this purpose. That way you don't have to abuse a car in break-in period that someone might buy.

I don't like this guy nor any other "delivery" guys who can't show respect for other people's property. I don't want anyone's grubby hands playing with my car before I get to it.

Taking pictures/video/rapping is fine - rev'ing the engine and tinkering with the electronics - NO

Whoever brought their Shakir M6 Convertible in MA on 05/17/13, nice cocaine white interior.

That car should of been in transport mode? I always thought the dealer takes it out of transport and does PDC. I guess the VPC takes it out of transport mode and the dealer does PDC.

This is why I purchased my '10 E60 M5 with 1 mile on the ODO and my '13 M5 with 3 miles on the ODO. I barely make it to the closest gas station and I bring it home the way you see the car in the video.

What makes this video even worse is that he doesn't know ANYTHING about the car.

"Yeah, M6. Yeah. M6. M6. Thing's a beast. Loving these stocks. M6. In case I didn't mention it, it's the M6. Damn, look at all this leather. I ain't neva seen leather in a car. Let's see how this rides. Thing's a beast. Haven't driven one yet but it's a beast."

not mad he doesn't know much about the car bc most ppl dont. lol.
cocaine white tho, owww.

he doesn't seem to be abusing the vehicles, thankfully but i can see how some ppl would want to literally be the first person to turn on the AC in their cr, so it's understandble why some would be upset with this. i wouldn't tho.

they are meant to be driven and we all have warranties, so it's all good in my eyes.

he's prob using these videos to gain views for his rapping career, tho.
