What is a back end flash?

I'm going to run jb4+bcm and meth. How is the BEF tuned? Does it only do the cel delete , cold start delete , rev limiter and speed removal?

The backend flash is there to support the JB4+BCM and is designed to control timing, fuel, and other parameters that the JB4 cannot adjust on its own. This yields the most power safely and efficiently. That's its prime role as well as the ability to remove the speed limiter, and set other parameters related to the O2 delete that causes the CEL.

Humm I thought it was the other way around. get the flash tune and the JB4 just bump up the levels of the ECU tunes. good to know...

Youll run into issues going that route.

The JB4/BCM is used to increase boost levels over the current limitations. Some use the BCM to do that, others use upgraded MAP sensors.

If you use the JB4/BCM, its highly recommended to add a backend flash to support it and make the necessary adjustments needed to support the increased boost.
