Did he really say that E class is better than 5 series? What is he smoking?
15:33. Crazy. I've never believed a word he's ever said before and this just confirms it.

Bunch of clowns.
Ask any german (or british) car mag and they will tell you that the M5 wins hands down. The AMG is a great car though.

Some thread on here mentioned Mercedes were "ahead" of BMW in the technology department
Thats news to me, my next door neighbour just got the latest E Class and the tech in that is crap. I don't care how fast the Mercedes is or could be, I do not think their build quality and technology is anywhere near BMW. EDIT: and as for servicing costs, BMW hands down.

I think both cars are great, but I just love seeing BMW owners hating on the competition when a review doesn't go their way. If it was reversed, everyone here will be so proud that its their car that came out on top.
Performance - AMG Looks - Subjective Car Tech - BMW Service - BMW by default, but you can pre-pay your service at Merc and if you know how to bargain, they will throw it in. I'm a little disappointed at the MCT transmission in the AMG, but I'm sure it's faster than an 8-speed ZF everyone seems to love on many BMW's. I'm cross shopping both and I'm torn between the two. |

Great video! I'm glad these types of comparison are starting to come out.
I still don't care for the new 14 E63 AMG, no matter how fast or how much better it handles. I will say though that our M5's will start to lose the hp wars seeing how easily tunable the M157's are. I really don't like that. Also, I wonder what further changes and improvements BMW is going to make for the 2015 M5 and beyond. Hmmm...

The Merc is seriously impressive - those numbers are ridiculous and it must just destroy tyres. But, for me, the e63 still just looks like a big, awkward bloaty bling-wagon, whereas the m5 (even my modest plain vanilla non-CP version) looks far more sleek and is just the perfect balance between rampaging beast and discreet cruiser.
I do, however, have a soft spot for the c63 and if they ever make the interior of that car as nice as an m3 or m5, I'll be in trouble.

I'm sure that the AMG message boards are laughing at some on this thread saying how butt hurt the BMW guys are.
I won't be quoted in a negative manner. Faster is beautiful. The Benz is faster... |

Both cars are great. There is no doubt. Y is it the m5 can't be tuned in the same manner as the amg. I wonder if this is the same for Audi's engine |

This M-B is fugly. I'd rather have a 528 than it. If you want this engine/drivetrain, there are better looking AMG offerings.
