Pre lci headlights updated

Bought these headlights from Umnitza. Nice upgrade for pre lci looking for updated headlights! Install was direct plug and play and just needed to code to remove the adaptive headlights error, but function perfectly besides that! Anyways just wanted to share for any pre lci m5s that don't want to buy 5,000 headlights and hire a Russian hacker haha

I saw these before they look great.

I'm sure though that you lose the adaptive headlights right?

Yes you lose the adaptive feature, but the company says you gain (G force adaptive led) which is pretty much if you turn hard the inside high beam turns on! I have yet to try this as I'm still commercial fishing.

Also I don't have any more pictures of the headlights on the car, but here is a picture when I first got them.

thanks for the reply. i would love to see what they looking when there on. that g force thing sounds pretty cool, esp. if you lose the adaptive feature. did you have to remove the front bumper to install?

I'm still currently comerical fishing in Alaska so I have yet to try out the headlights in the dark. All I have seen is the pictures and the shop that installed the headlights said the halos, turn signals and lights fuction perfectly! I will update the post once I actually drive the car at night. So far I'm impressed with how they look, the stock headlights always bugged me and didn't look aggressive enough! Also I'm pretty sure the shop took off the front bumper to install the headlights.

Was wondering when these were going to pop up on the forums. I've known about these for a while, but haven't had time to upgrade yet. They are the only option to upgrade the Pre-LCI lights. Even the LCI Xexon's require about 6 new modules and lots of coding.

They're not the only option, you can retrofit the OEM LED headlights as well. I'm sure the price difference is huge though, so might not be worth it for everyone. I've posted all the necessary parts for the LED headlight retrofit in another thread and there are vendors now how can code the car remotely. You won't need to fly in a Russian anymore

Umnitza products worked out pretty great for me when I had my e46 M3. I'm lucky enough to have them local, so all work was done in their shop. I too have been keeping an eye out for these to pop up on the forum. Definitely interested in the swap, but curious to hear/see more results from others first...

Would love to hear your full review once you're back on dry land!
