Wow!

Lets just say i may or may not have taken the M5 for an early morning blast with my father.

Lets just say we may or may not have covered a 42km country road in 12mins.

Lets also just say i may or may not have seen an indicated top speed of 270km/h and it was still pulling.

This car is amazing. And yes the brakes did their job too!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!!!

Lol! Took mine for quite a ride yesterday too. Let's just say that the F10 may or may not get to 150+ very fast :-) funny when a Carrera 4S waves you forward to say "that's all I got. You're faster" and then a Mustang GT convertible looks as if it is standing still while you leave him soundly in a high speed run!

I have a 991 Carrera S. my subjective feeling is that after 200km/h the M5 is faster. So much torque and it revs to 7200rpm!

Thats amazing, think they are both amazing cars and a great compliment to each other in your stable. The new Cayman S is tempting me but every-time I see the new 991 I smile. Going to lend my dad my M5 in the summer - he will have a blast!

gee i would think that the m5 should be ahead before 200 km/h??
since the m5 does the 1/4 mile in 12 flat and the carrera s around what? 12.7?

i just went by a porsche dealership and had a look at the new carrera s. they are beautiful. look sweeter than the 997 in person. IMO

but which is more fun to drive? (m5 or Cs)

The 991 is more fun! It handles much better and is much much lighter on its feet. Once the bends progress beyond sweepers it's superior.

The m5 forte is as a high speed cruiser and it can handle for a luxury car but it won't stick with the 991 on anything but a motorway.

Latest independent testing in Australia has found the 991 CS faster than the m5 0-100 and 0-200. Although to me they both are very quick.

But the M5 thrust after 200 is superior to the 991.

It seems to me the 991 is extremely capable at being driven at 10/10 and makes use of every last bit of its power as I think the m5 loses a bit due to traction issues.

Both are awesome though!

yeah once again, the m5 will catch up before 200. it does the quarter in 11.8 - 12.0

911 carrera s 1/4 is 12.7
