Newb question on default drive settings

Hey everyone, sorry for such a newb question...

Everytime I start the car in my selected profile, the car always defaults to the same engine/suspension/steering.

It's very annoying. Am I missing something that I have to do to properly save my own setting?

In the F80 world, it appears the answer is "no", the default is what it is, and everyone just sets their DD default on a M1/2 button setting.

To be fair your only a single button press away. BMW having to keep those tree huggers happy. I'm sure there is a way to code the default settings, could we worth posting in the coding area of the forum.

this is news to me. Can you pull up your work order from the dealer and rewrite or take a picture of exactly what was written by the tech?

Was the software update done related to a different issue? Or you specifically asked to "fix" this default issue?

It is possible to code the car to remember the last Start/Stop setting. That way you can turn off Start/Stop and it'll stay off by default until you turn it on again.

Not sure if the dealer will do it for you but you can do it yourself via E-Sys by doing a bit of online reading and spending $10 on a cable.

I believe this is in reference to the stop/start function.

Thanks, but I'm not talking about start/stop default. By 2014, the start/stop last setting default has already been pre-programmed into the US cars.

As what rsuhandy said, I think that posting is confusing what I'm asking (dynamic driving mode defaults) with start/stop default.

Yeah regarding to start/stop the US car will remember the last setting but European version don't.

I'll try my best to dig it up. I came in and told my SA about the issue. At the time i was experiencing issues with my passenger side front camera. THEY also found my rear camera to be defective.
