Can anyone tell me how this deal sounds?

So had my M5 in for annual service yesterday. 13 6mt. I've had it for 18 months and I def got a terrible deal (1550/month). I currently owe 77,100 on a buyout. While I was at the dealer I sat in an alpina b7 and really liked it. Loved the fact that it is all wheel drive, very similar to the m just more room for the car seat etc. so here's what the dealer is proposing.

2014 b7 xdrive
Msrp $139,025
Sell price $129,025
36 month lease 10k/yr
1545/month + tax
$20k due at signing and hand over the keys to the m5
55% residual
.00169 mf

Or:
24 month 10k/yr
1817 + tax
20k at signing
61%
.00169

The whole 20k at signing seems to throw me off, I guess that's basically what I'm losing on the M5?
Any ideas/ input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like another bad deal (though I've never shopped B7's).

I def wouldnt put that much down on a lease. Yes, the dealer might be trying to cover losses on the M5 and get additional profit.

You would be better off trying Leasetrader or Classifieds here to get out of your M5 (though that will be difficult due to lease deals out now on the M5).

Your call but I would stay put if I was you.

Sounds like your dealer took you for a ride 18 months ago, and since they got you once they are trying to do it again...

Contact Greg Poland @ Pacific BMW for a quote on the B7, and sell your car to Carmax

Based on the numbers you posted, the payment of this car for 36 months by itself is ~1800 +tax! you are puting 10K down to reduce the payment to 1545. The other 10K is the payoff of your M5!
Just keep in mind the new 7 series and B7 are coming next year; so basically you are getting this car in last year of it's life cycle! most likely you will regret next year if you get this car...

i was offered a b7 with a higher mspr for ~$3k d/o, 7MSD, $1500/month

so your deal is crap... FYI the MF should be a lot lower

I don't know how much negative you are on the M5...

The numbers on that deal absolutely sucked. Mf was high, trade in low etc. The person that said they took me for a ride 18 months ago and were trying to do it again was dead on. After I pointed all the things out that were wrong with the deal and gave them my counter offer, he said good news I think we can do that and keep your payment at 1500/month but the car sold. What a douche

Bad deal. B7 is overpriced given you are past end of model year now.

Also I wouldn't get a 7 when the new carbon fiber model is coming out next year.

If you do want it, take $10k off the initial cash and that's a fair deal.

no disrespect at all my friend, the b7 is A LOT larger then the M5 so it def looks like a vessel when they are side by side so yes a M5 will def be more sportier. The b7 and reg 7 are made for luxury and space so its tough to compare the two IMO. Either way choosing between the two is a great problem to have!
