Ding - repairable?

Is this repairable or can be touched up well to be less obvious? Parked next to an Infiniti M45 and when I came back I saw this. I even looked at the car as I left and noticed how high its rear door was and was concerned. Came back out and my worst fear came true. People are just clueless and have no respect for other people's properties.

Took out the clear coat and there's a very very slight dent. Right on the belt line crease too.

Garage List
If there is an actual ding, this can be pushed out. Then you will need to touch up the spot but should come out looking good. The belt line is trickier for them to line up the dent removal but will ultimately hide the touch up better.

That pisses me off for you!!! People are fuckin idiots. Too busy thinking about getting the new iphone...who's playing the 'big' game... or their fantasy football league.
But no fear... It can be fixed and be good as new.

That's why whenever I want to park my car in any parking lot, either I look for a spot far from other cars or park her next to a BMW or MB to make sure those guys at least care about their cars when they open the doors!

Like you, I always look for a spot far away from everyone. However, when I return to my car, I always have someone park next to me even the parking lot is 90% empty. Maybe that someone are people that think like you.

The car you park next to doesn't matter. It's the owner or passengers of those vehicles and you can't predict. There is a high likelihood that your car is safer parked next to a bmw or mb, but I've see an old lady swing open her e550 into the car next to her without even realizing that she did anything. I also saw a man driving a MB SL in the financial district, apparently in a rush, who nudge the car in front of him on purpose as he was honking and trying to make a turn before the light turns red. The car he nudge was a lady in a new accord. She looked back and just kept going. He nudged her twice.

I parked next to a relatively new M45 and figured they would care.

Try something like that in Texas, you will have a high potential of having the person put the car in park, get out and "deal" with you... It is kind of the same thing with aggressive honking. Ya'll do that in downtown NY and Chicago, and it's just a normal way of communicating. Done down here, you could be threatened in a pretty serious way...

ding repair

Actually this is nicely fixable, like someone said before " it can be pushed from behind " and the nicely filled with the fresh paint ( touch up style )
the same thing happened to my X5 with the same black paint ( right on the crease ) . Guy pushed it out for $50 and then I have filled it with paint , buffed it, and it was not noticeable at all.
Hope it will work for you, any good body shop will should be able to get it done for a reasonable amount of money.
Hope that helps

It does not matter how far you will try to park your car... THEY will always park next to you, they know that you would never do harm to their car.

That looks a lot worse than a ding to me. I'd forget the touch up paint and take it to a body shop if you want it properly repaired.

Yah, I've taken the car to 3 different body shops in the city and all have been pretty consistent. Need to repaint the door and blend.

I contacted several dent repair people to correct the slight indentation so that I can prep it for touch up paint, and they didn't even respond after sending them pictures. Being on the belt line and an M5, I think that they don't want the hassle of dealing with removing interior panels or risk doing any additional damage.

Do the best you can w/ touchup. If not satisfied, take it to a body shop. I had a few deep scratches - they told me the same thing. Decided to go at it myself and after a few days it was no longer an issue. 'Painting and blending' aint no easy task and can make a small cosmetic issue a huge one. I feel your pain.
