Anyone put a black surround around the tailpipes/diffuser on a non black car?

I'm taking about the lower part that goes around both tailpipes.

Yes Sir! I wonder if the combo would work on a Silverstone color combined with a frozen black lower?

I tried a slightly different approach to the blacked out exhaust surround. Used basecoat/clearcoat with a matting agent in the clearcoat to reduce the gloss. Wanted the exhaust tips black also and sprayed them as well. The car color is Space Gray.

Not sure if I am a big fan of that, I prefer it colour coded?

Guess it looks better in person....

Hey this car is perfect from the factory. Why are you messing with perfection?

Don't piss on the work of the finest automotive engineers in the world. If it was meant to be black they would have made it black.

I just can't see spending 2000.00+ on the diffuser. Not cost effective ever.
