yes I use Leather Barrier on SO. I noticed bleeding again a few days after but It was much easier to get out. I also recommend the use of a strong cleaner from swissvax (stealth approved) or leather masters.

I use Leather Masters leather barrier, and while not permanent, it does have the same effect in preventing dye transfer and helping to make them come out easier. I use this once every three months, and then use the Leather Masters Protection Cream Matte more frequently.
With two little kids I did the Perma plate (we'll see if it makes a real protection difference, but things (milk, food boogers) do tend to wipe off pretty easy, FWIW) and it did come back a little shiny but it didn't last very long & the difference in the feel of the leather was relatively negligible. Now that it's on I will be getting the LM matte products anyway for future use.

Edit: my car is still new (took delivery late Aug 2013) but so far I have not noticed any bleeding with the perma plate

and for the dashboard/ M leather to restore/retain the matt finish I have used
http://www.swissvax.us/merchant.mvc?...e=LEATHER-CARE

I am also a great fan of the Zaino leather cleaner/conditioner as it restore the new leather smell
Just have to be careful wiping it off as otherwise it will gloss for a little while

This combo would be good on Sakhir Orange as well? Do you use the swissvax to clean and then apply the Z 10 after?

So one thing to reflect on is our leather seat are actual coated for durability in what some refer to as a type of seal coating. BMW is only of a small number of car manufactures using this approach. Therefore a number of leather product that are designed for dyed leather has so so results.

Chemical Guy actually calls out that their leather care products are designed with that in mind. Not sure if that is marketing BS, but I have had good luck on both my 2006 E60 M5 ( I just can not part with that motor) and my 2013 F10 M5. Be carful when using any cream products with the perforated seats as not to clog the holes.

I find the matte leather conditioner is great because it keeps the interior looking brand new from the factory.
Based on this post and your rep I ordered these products. Worked precisely as you stated. I haven't been able to find a quality matte until now. Boss.

I went on detailersdomain and see the leather masters products, but I don't see where it specifically says "matte" like people are stating. Am I missing something?

Regarding product, I buy from Uniters NA who carry the full range.
http://shop.unitersna.com/collections/leather-master

The type of leather we have is A (Aniline)

My products are
- Leather Master Foam Cleaner - use whenever cleaning
- Leather Master Leather Barrier - prevents dye transfer from jeans. Use to treat leather when new and retreat every 3 months when doing a full cleaning
- Leather Master Protection Cream Matte - use for leather conditioning once a month

I don't bother with Leather Vital because that is for leather that hasn't been conditioned in a long time and needs restoration of natural oils. Our leather is new and doesn't need that.
stealth.pilot ... Thanks for the info and clarification on the leather cleaner/conditioner products as it is very confusing! I just ordered the above leather master products for my 2013 M5 SO leather and 2014 X5 M-sport BLK leather.
