Tint recommendation?

Has anyone applied tint to their new M5 or have a recommendation for a tint percentage for the windows? I'm not a huge tint fan but the car clearly needs it. Appreciate the help!

Llumar Air Blue. Looks fantastic. Like the AMG factory tint but with 50% heat reduction.

Suntek ?

Does anyone have any experience with SunTek Carbon or CXP? My dealer uses this and SunTek comes with a lifetime warranty vs. my other dealer which wanted to use a 3M product with a 5 year warranty.

I've used the SunTek before. I didnt have any problems with the finish or fading/discoloring after 5 years or so. Their reps and warranty are very good too. MAKE SURE your installer provides you with the official SunTek warranty card with roll numbers entered in. A receipt will not get you warranty service.

Not according to this. They just renamed it as Air.

Guys, I have been looking into a new film for my M5 when it arrives.

Photosync 75. It is also available in darker shades. It is a light blue tint, and it is photochromic (I.e. it changes darkness based on the amount of sunlight, enabling better visibility at night).

What about tint recommendations for an alpine white? I have the black front and side grills from IND. Was thinking of doing 35% all around but not sure if it will take away from the classy look of the car.

Mine's 35% on silverstone. Still looks very classy. Perfect balance IMO.

I have AW/SO combo. I plan to go with 35%. The red interior complements the film perfectly. Also in my state (OR) 35% is the legal limit for window tint on front door windows.

I had 30% on my black M3 with fox red interior and it looked perfect to me. However I think white cars look better with a little lighter tint.

I think anything between 32-35% looks good. Not too light and not too dark.

Tint scheduled

I am scheduled to get Full 3M crystalline tint applied to my M5 next week. All windows/moonroof in 40 and Windshield in 70. Will post pics and comments once finished.

I decided not to get a clear bra. I am concerned about discoloration. I will determine in 3 or 4 years if it was the right call! I seem to get clear bra on every other car I own. haha. Maybe it has something to do with the salesman and my mood at any given Tint shop visit. Who knows.

Ive had Llumar in three of my cars - I'll be going with just 50% as I normally do. I prefer the lightest possible tint.

I have this exact set up on my new Silverstone M5. I'll take photos once I get it back from the dealer as they are still dealing with some electronic issues (not getting in gear). But for the very short period of time I had it, I did notice a difference in how it blocks the heat better. On my other car, I've got Huper 40.

I am going with 3M Crystaline 90 on the windshield and 50 on all other windows. Probably will be light, but I like that look. FYI Crystaline probably like other high end products which is really pricey. 3M has a 15% off coupon on their website until the end of the year, but even after that I still paid $750.

Did you do the 75 all around? Please share the pics. Also please post pics of the interior of your car so I can see how it affects light within the cabin.
