2014 991.1 Turbo S or 2014 R8 V10
So, i will be swapping cars again. My lease ends for my current 14 M5 next January and it will be a while before the next M5 comes out (also not sure if i will get the first year of production).
So within the next few months i will be purchasing another car that will ultimately be my M5 replacement ( i will also be buying a cheap beater car). i have narrowed it down to the Turbo S and the R8. To me the R8 looks kinda of dated and the Turbo doesn't have that wow factor......so its been a tough decision. Any thoughts on my upcoming purchase. I am on a limited budget and these fit it. I also like the AMG GTS, but its still depreciating pretty bad. |

Porshce is huge turnoff for me in simply because of their pricing. Considering you're probably going to drop over 100 on either car, i'd need the wow, the speed, and all the glory of a v10.
Hell, to be quite honest, i'd even pick the GTS over the Turbo as well. In that mustard yellow, with pano roof and black wheels! |

Looks like you're considering spending a lot of money on a car you're not all that thrilled about. Have you driven the Turbo S, or are you saying it lacks the "wow" factor based on looks?
Not to add more choices to your plate, but I've always thought the Targa 4 GTS is one of the best looking cars on the road and that NA engine screams like a banshee. |

Turbo S has my vote. I went on a country run with this guy who had a stage 2 tune and FBO. What an amazing machine it was. I honestly don't care too much for the aesthetics of the R8. I would much rather pick up a 2017 GTR over the R8. I know to some that sounds stupid but that's just my opinion.

I'd take the Porsche over an old body style r8. Always loved the look of a Porsche and I feel it's a way better drivers car. There's so many bolt on options/tunes available for it too. Porsche is Most likely my next move when he M5 goes back.

P-cars are safe money, put a GT in the name and its safer yet, then add RS to make money.
I was lucky and made a handsome sum on my GT3 which more than cover 4 years of ownership including many exhausts, fuel, insurrance, the original finance, tyres, brakes etc etc and then some cash left over |

Would go Turbo S, and you will get a good price because of the .2's are out. Also Porsche body style does not go out of date like some manufactures. R8 looks pretty old, but the V10 rocks .....just too old and slow.

Can I throw the AMG GTS in the equation? If i wait until this fall I can probably pick up a 16' model that has already taken most of the depreciation hit.
