Seems as though my m5 lost power after meisterschaft install

My BMW dealership (Dinan certified shop) installed the EV meisterschaft exhaust on my 2013 f10 m5 today. Just got in the car and it feels sluggish for some reason. Anyone have any experience with this? I don't have the full cat back, I just bought the rear $4k oval.

If your exhaust does NOT retain the exhaust valves, you may want to double check if the exhaust vacuum lines have been correctly terminated so they don't leak.

Have the dealer do this? Or something I can do? This has an electric valve control and can be opened or closed. when closed it almost feels more powerful. Thanks

Ensure that those two lines are connected to your exhaust. If they don't have valves then plug them.

Try this. Take the car to redline (WOT) in the first 3 gears a couple of times. Call me crazy, but the car seems to adjust afterwards and it will be normal again. I felt the same way after my Eisenman Sport install.

He still needs first to ensure those lines are plugged. To take it wot is pointless if those lines are disconnected.

My tech forgot to plug the lines on my M5 with the Eisenmann Race; the car was a 300hp pig. This is probably what happened as many have said above.

Your boost will feel like its running .3 bar tops.

If you look underneath the car just inside the rear you should see two black lines (one on each side) that don't terminate in the exhaust but are hanging to the side and plugged off with some sort of cap.

You installed the wrong exhaust. You installed the Meisterslow exhaust. Get a proper one like Eisenmann or RPi, then all of your problems will be fixed.

Plugged the vacuum tubes and wow, better than ever. It's embarrassing the Dinan shop at my BMW dealer would leave them dangling to the side, not terminated.

Thanks for the help guys.

Here are a few pics of the wheel and exhaust job. Meisterschaft oval EV control, custom painted tips (not the meisterschaft $450 upgraded tips). I paid less than $100 for the tip ceramic coating. Also had the wheels powder coated black.

Prior work included the matte black side markers, tail light replacement and matte black m5 badge. Also swapped out front grills for matte black and replaced front and rear reflectors with matching Monte Carlo paint.

Looking good. But I would change the rear lights back to stock...

The option to open and close the valve is the deciding factor. If the other options could pony up an electronic valve I might have gone with another.
