New M5... Should I?

I am currently driving a '12 335 Sedan (F30). I can get out of my lease easily because I put down extra $$$. How much different will it perform? I am paying $700 a month now for my lease...

I don't think you can get out a 2012 lease early unless you pay it off. So, it really has nothing to do how much money you put down.

I think he meant he can trade out of it because he doesnt have negative equity due to his larger down payment.

Yikes that's expensive! M5 is a great ride, and I buy long term for this reason no hassle trying to ditch a car. Good luck. You stop buying when the garage is full(:

IMHO the car is night and day from the 3 Series. I went from a 2012 535xi to the M5. That move alone made it feel like a different car. Can only imagine what going from a 3 series would be. If money is not an option go for it. You only live once! No point in saving your money and putting it in the bank to just be taxed 28%

Yes I can trade out of the 335.

Bimmer6: I only have room for one car in my garage!

cmhsam: My company will pay $500 a month so I would only have to pay around $700 depending on the lease deal....

MSRP for a new standard F10M5 with head-up display and 20" wheel is $94695. lets say you get $2500 off from the dealer, and $2000 holiday cash + $750 loyalty, so the sales price is $89445. Current MF, and residual is 0.00125, and 48%, without count any other fees, such as title and registration, acquisition fee. and 0 down payment, your monthly payment will be $ 1491. Since you are in NC, there is additional 3% Highway Use Tax (HUT) on the monthly payment, so the total is $1535.73/month

Are you really asking how a 335 will perform next to the F10 M5? A tuned 335 can be FAST but the new F10 M5 is new territory. You cant compare the two. Go for it.

I drive a 335 xDrive (tuned) in the winter and an F10M5 in the summer. The cars are very different, and I love them both.
The 3 feels much smaller than it really is, and the M5 kicks much harder. AWD vs RWD is a fun and different experience.
If you value comfort and power with tremendous capability, and you don't mind paying more, then the M5 is for you.
If you enjoy the lightness and 'chuckability' of the 335, then you might be disappointed by the larger, heavier, and more powerful car.

Enjoy the choice!

Crown BMW in Greensboro has an M5 in stock, alpine white with black interior, has executive package and lane departure option, 104k is the sticker.

Same place I got mine from!

If money is not an issue, and i am saying that because you are going to take a significant hit on the F30. Go for it.....M5 all the way. It is the best production sport sedan in the market currently, with the ability to pulverize supercars while carrying 4 in massive comfort.
