I have no complaints about the shipping or the quality of the lenses from borrowlenses.com. I just figure life is too short to screw around with balky websites.

And there are no (as in "none") photography stores within 2 hours driving distance on here.

I guess I owe an apology to borrowlenses.com. I tried lensrentals.com and got the same response; transaction denied. I called the CC company and they show both transactions approved.

I got both reps on the phone and had the rep from lensrentals.com put the transaction through while I had the CC rep monitor my account. Lo and behold it went through fine. Not sure who was responsible for the snafu, but the lady at lensrentals said they go through a clearing house for CC charges and I bet borrowlenses does the same thing. So maybe the clearing house is to blame.

In any case, I have a 70-200 f4L non-IS coming on Tuesday. Time to find out if I can live with the lens without IS.

Yep, 90% of the state, as a matter of fact. Not that we "downstaters" matter a hoot to anyone. Everyone outside Chicago could vote one way and the Chicago folks could vote the other and we'd lose.

Has anyone here gotten a photo pass at a local music venue to shoot a concert? I want to shoot this upcoming concert, but I dunno how to go about getting one.

Anyone have one of these printers? First they were giving them away with Canon bodies and now you can get one for $50.

I've thought about it. Not sure I'd be disciplined enough to print out my own images. I barely take the time to PP half of them.

BTW, got my 70-200mmF4L from lensrental.com today. Just took some basic test pics so far, but I'm impressed. Now if the weather would cooperate, I may get to grab some keepers.
