Hey guys, I'm in a '13 550 with Dinan Stage 5 Spec and I'm thinking if I should get a '14 or '15 M5 Competition Package or wait for the '17 to drop? I believe they're changing the engine and body a bit. Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

They are not changing anything in the M5 department 2017 and roughly you'd wait at least 2 more years and may be 3 to get a real G M5 vs F M5,

Also I had 550i Dinan stage 2 and as fast as it was when I test drove the 2013 M5 and then got my M5 that 550i with Stage 2 Dinan and Suspension tweak too felt like a toy ONG is difference is unspeakably big!!

Enjoy in good health sir

So wait, your M5 is better than your Dinan 550 Stage 2?

I appreciate the information. I heard that they were adding xDrive and some extra horses to the M5. http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...py-photos-news That's why I'm curious.

As much as I love my M5 I feel that you won't see a significant difference between your 550i and M5 due to the Dinan upgrades. I'd wait for the 2017 to drop.

I was thinking about that but I'm going to put Dinan mods into the M5. At that point, besides based what would you do? Plus, what are your thoughts on xDrive vs. RWD?

I'm on the fence about the whole Rwd and xdrive topic as well. The lack of awd is actually the reason why I'm not jumping on the m5 yet.

Being in the northeast, awd is somewhat of a must as winter is a hit or miss.
