It seems it is not a fuel pump issue but a problem with the press file. If I update the BMW software version after 9.13 and reload the press file again all should be ok. I will see what info I can get while there.

I had my 1.8T A4 back in the day tuned that way. Shipped off the ECU to APR, who flashed it in a day, and shipped it back same day. Not a big deal. Everyone did it back then, and noone freaked out, b/c it was the norm. As long as you've got a reputable tuner IMO, you'd be fine. They've done hundreds if not thousands of soldering jobs like that probably. Last edited by Glowin; 08-18-2014 at 02:04 PM.. |

Many people have reported that Russian tuners are able to Flash F10/F20/F20 ECUs. What they seem to do is open the ECU and short a pin to enable boot mode. Then they reset the DME time so it can be flashed. I'm not sure they're able to flash a custom map although I've been told that it's possible. But I'm pretty sure that this methods allows them to flash a 328 map into a 320, for instance.

This method only allows for changing from one BMW software to another, as far as I know. And, they can't do this process for any of the S engines (like S63, S55) nor any of the N63 engines. Last edited by Boss330; 08-19-2014 at 04:07 AM.. |

This is the latest developments regarding DME software modifications from LEIB Engineering:
They are now able to ship already tuned DME’s to customers. At present time this currently only available for all N55 and S55 engines. M5/M6 will be the next. It will be finished in the end of September. Completely opened Vmax, deleted CEL and more is possible. The first tunes are:
The customer can keep his own DME. They can now ship the already tuned DME directly to the customer. All they need is some basic info of the car, in order to flash the correct base software. They have also lowered the price AFAIK |

All the euro tuners quote flywheel hp, so I'm pretty sure that's what they refer to here as well. |

They have said that they can do custom tunes with larger turbos etc, so 700 might just be a stock engine tune. |

Btw what is the difference between the stock manifold with the SS? Hopefully they can make adjustment on the fueling too. |
