Default driving settings without M1/M2 buttons

Is there any way to reset all the driving settings (i.e. dampers, gear change, steering weight etc.) to the default settings that are selected when the car is first started without using the M1 or M2 buttons?

I currently have M2 button set to the sportiest settings and and M1 set to D/efficiency/comfort/comfort but I'd really prefer to be able to use the M1 button for something else.

No. The car starts in the lowest settings on purpose. Mainly because it allows the car's fluids to all warm before you have it in the hardest settings and abuse the engine.

Pressing M2 again should return all the settings back to normal. At least that's what it does on my car - you press it once to activate (unless you have MDM on or DSC off, then you need to press twice to confirm) and press again to deactivate, which resets everything to comfort.

Re-reading my post, I see that I didn't explain myself very well.

What I meant was that I would like, while I am driving, to be able to turn all the settings back to what they were when I start the car. If I have changed all the settings (e.g. by using the M1 or M2 button that I have programmed in advance) I want to be able to go back to the defaults without stopping the car and starting it again.

yes, assuming you're in M1/2, hit that same button again. i.e. hit M2 to get your M2 settings, then hit it again to go back to efficient/comfort/comfort.

I'm not sure how I managed not to know this, but this was what I needed to know. On the way home from work just now I tried this and these buttons are toggles which sorts out my issue.

Thank you all for your help.
