ordered them, they arrive tomorrow.
The PS4's are way quieter than the 295 SS, not sure if its an age/tread thing.

Took them for a drive to work where its quite bumpy in parts, doesnt seem to be any strange noises - ordered the 5mm spacers and will fit them this week.

So far so good....

Hope you've got a torque wrench with the correct attachment as it's 140N-m tightening pressure on the bolts (103 lb/ft) and re checking them after 200 mi also it's good practice to re check them regularly.Don't tighten them beyond that.

Come onto the forum for advice before purchasing tyres,Michelin PS4S are mainly the choice of tyres for performance in all conditions.

With continental tyres you'll never get the power down. I don't spin from 40 on my 305 Michelin PS4S.

I will give those a shot after these. Got a heavy foot. Rear tires last me about 6k miles a pair. LoL.

PS4S are great but not sure how they will hold up against a tune, better than the continentals though I would imagine.

What tire pressure should I run ?

I have 2,6 but will be going on a long trip - after searching around - most people have their tires at least 3,0, especially as most of us go over 160kmh for a brief periods.

Is it the same for 305's as 295's or is it the profile & width that determines the pressure?

I know! I visit my family in the UK a couple of times a year and - I can never get used to the trafik density and restrictions. In some ways I am kind of glad I moved, but on the other hand I still miss England and all its imperfections.

You should be all set then for your trip in a week.Any long trips and always carry a litre of your oil just in case you need to top up or better still carry the full 4 or 5 litre can like I do in the boot cut out made specially for it.

I am running 295 on rear, Michelin PS4. After many trial and errors 34 psi seems to be a good balance in grip, still you have to learn how to properly throttle progressively, in 1st obviously, but in 2nd as well to avoid losing grip and get the best possible acceleration.

1 or 2 psi fluctuations will not make much difference. What does tho is temperature and the warmer it gets then those tyres will chirp less on take off with the learning curve you mention on throttle response .

Just got a set of 305's for mine as well. Ive been burning off the POS tires that came on the car and finally swapped them.

The difference is amazing. I went from spinning tires in 3rd at 80 mph to having decent grip in 1st!

I tried to wear my old ones out but in the end I was just prolonging the agony and the only thing to do is to get them on asap.

What did you guys pay for your PS4s? I am now looking for decent price for a set. Debating on 305's vs. 295's
