Tune recommendations?

currently got downpipes on my m5 and am getting ready to tune it, considering BM3 since it seems to offer the most, does anyone have any other suggestions?

You won't go wrong with either BPM or Evolve. Mike at BPM did a great job tailoring my tune to meet my specific requirements. A lot of guys seem to be running Bootmod 3 OTS maps without complaint but I have no experience with that platform

DME tuning. I ran BM3 and my car ran rough and inconsistent. Car runs a lot smoother with the DME tune.

Alex at mission tuning. Have stage 1 and 2 with no hiccups. Put down 630 wheel and 669 torque with just gutted cats and drop in filters.

s63tu JB4 MAP GUIDE:

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: 4-5psi over stock additive. Suggested for most pump gas applications with and without BCM.
Map 2: 22psi peak absolute. BCM required. In some cases we've found this map maxes out the factory fuel trims. In those cases only map1 or map3 can be used without WMI injection.
Map 3: 18psi peak absolute.
Map 4: VALET/safety map, less boost than factory
Map 5: //M map ramping boost up to redline
Map 6: Custom target map
Map 7: 25psi peak (e.g. race gas, BCM required)
Map 8: Progressive meth map. Peak boost based on meth additive. 0 = 19psi, 75 = 30psi. BCM suggested.

Note without BCM all maps, especially the higher target maps, will under target on boost.

What’s the boost difference between stage 1 and 2? I know stage 2 is 22 pounds.

I’m new to platform, I always wanted a F10 M5! Feels good to actually have one now . I have been reading the forums for years to gain knowledge. I plan on doing intakes , downpipes and stage 1/2 tune through BM3. Still undecided I have read bm3 stage 2 is good on stock clutches. Either route I will do .020 plugs and packs. Plus continued maintenance oil change 3-5k miles / plugs 10-12k miles. I look forward to starting modding.

By the way I wouldn't gap the plugs that much… I changed to the two-step call for plugs, in stock is .34 and they request .20 for meth injection… but as I'm not doing that it's best to split the difference as .20 leaves hardly any gap… I did .24/.25 and the car has ran great!

I was reading your other post saying the same about the spark plugs. Are you running FBO JB4 map 1 ?
