Tune after a BMW Software Update

I was running a MP Stage 1 Tune. I had issues with the car and dealer needed to work on it. Dealer did have to update the DME to latest version and I was informed by the tuner that I not lost the ability to flash tune the car.

Anyone have the same issue? If I am SOL it is what it is but prefer to flash tune it again vs getting the DME hacked.

Please advise
