It was one of my last runs of the day when I was racing someone else that I hit 155mph. I forget my time, but I was starting consistently between 50 and 60mph all day. Maybe it was higher DA for you guys this year with worse humidity? Although it was hot last year too.
Strange. Moe and I ran and there is video somewhere. It was not very close. I had few cars on him and we ran the same boost which we both upped at the event together.

In most of the races, if you notice the Viper pulls hardest in 4th.

His trap speed for that run was 147.25 and mine was 147.73.
I was curious about this because I have a best 1/4 of 10.65 @ 135.4 and I was wondering how my car would do in this situation. So I got my Circuit Tools data and looked at my lap with the highest speed on the back stretch early in the day at COTA. I hit 156.5 according to the Performance Box GPS data. So starting at 60.42 mph, my car hit 140.1 mph in 10.04s 1610 feet later. That was in sport plus with my foot to the floor as soon as I came out of turn 11 at about 30mph. The track also drops five feet on that stretch. What was your ET for the run against the 997.2? The 60-140 seems slow compared to your car and that 997.2 but maybe the ET is closer?

It's hard to say how your car would do without running it. My car baked in the sun before running the Porsche TTS which yielded my worst ET of the day pretty much at 11.xx.
As the waiting sped up and the sun went away a bit, by ETs dropped.
There were also some issues with the timing system. Here are some other runs where I not only perfected my shifts, but the car was cooler.

Well what I find interesting is that your trap speeds were fairly consistent around 147 or 148 with a wide disparity in ET, in fact your best ET was your slowest trap speed. I guess you have to keep it in the highest torque part of the rpm range at 60mph. I know on my car that will be below 5500 rpm which is the lowest rpm the sport plus in auto seems to allow before shifting so from 60 I am not at the highest torque. That is likely why my time is higher. Definitely looks like you have to manual shift for this kind of race though.

I had all kinds of issues with the DCT last year at the same event. Hitting the paddles twice on one race. Then trying to just floor in auto yielded a quick upshift, then a instant downshift... That happened twice. Early in the day brake boosting worked, then it just hurt times.. That convinced me to go back to 6 speed manual where I can only blame myself

MPact distance is 1800 feet, so it's longer than the Friday event. We should run sometime.
