Jaguar is hitting them out of the park with all their cars lately.

On another note, the new A8's interior makes the latest 7 series interior look 10 years old. Not a fan of the exterior of the new A8, but the exterior of it, the light play with the exterior lights and the interior are years ahead of BMW, in the same class...

I loved the i-pace, this however is just weak, specially the boring interiour, it's subpar in quality and design.

You're the one fooling yourself to be honest. Boring interior? Nothing in the BMW lineup below the 5 series has an interior that's even remotely interesting or 'high quality'. Subpar design? Are you seriously comparing a CUV that looks like an F-Type to something that's based on an X1? If anything, you need new glasses and lay off the kool aid while you're at it.

I agree the idrive infotainment system is hard to beat but that won't be enough to save this afterthought from getting clobbered by the E-Pace, Evoque and GLA. I'm one of the people that actually likes the X6 but even I can't digest this X2.

BMW interiors do tend to polarise people, some say they are looking out of date whereas I actually love their design (if quality of late could do with a leg up) I recently was faced with a choice... new Jag XE or new (6 year old design, soon to be replaced) F30... went for F30. Why? Because I picked up a new 340i with options for £31k (£9k below list) where an XE-S would have cost at least £44k after discounts! Most reviews say even the F type interior is cheap so I figured their cheaper cars are certainly not going to be any better. I'm loving the 340 in terms of its drive, I really like the interior design which is functional and sporting without unnecessary gimmicks, something Jag seem to use to lure buyers in (how many buyers still gasp when that gear selector rises up out of the console on start up after they've owned the car for two weeks??) Audi's pop up screens are the same, totally unnecessary and just another moving part to fail at some point down the line! Just my opinion but BMW interior design for me is spot on and the day when the 3 loses it's analogue dials for digital will be a sad one!

It really all just is a matter of opinion, some may say the e-pace interior shown above looks a little Peugeot!! And you can't see the quality from a picture! I do think the exterior looks pretty tho, I still think we need to reserve judgement on X2 until we actually see an M trimmed production car because we can be darn sure BMW will have worked hard on this one, as this sector is fast becoming the biggest in car sales!!

28K pounds is the base price. Which is probably someware near the base of the x1.

I would be surprised if the 'Roundel' is placed on the side of the C-Pillar(s).

Interestingly, e-pace seems to be priced to compete with X1 prices... starting at £28,500 here in the UK, exactly the price of the 18d FWD X1. X2 is expected to start at around £30k.... about right as it is the premium/sporty version...

So it seems you can have a sporty e-pace for the price of a boggo X1 which sounds very tempting! Jag have clearly aimed the e-pace squarely at X1, while giving it more appeal and knowing it will come in well under the X2 price point... a very clever move indeed!

You could be right about the interior tho.... I've just seen a real close up image on the Jaguar website and the plastics look iffy to say the least! JLR seem to use these kind of leather look vinyls on their dash tops (some people think it actually is leather, probably what JLR intends) which i don't think give the quality feel of the German's heavier quality slush moulded dash tops!

When I test drove some evoques I didn't feel that the vinyls used would look good for long! But I may be wrong...

We have to see it in M Sport trim.
Otherwise will not be so impressive.
I hope it will have an upgraded interior too.

Interior design is similar but there will be new materials and colors specific to the X2

The top trimmed M Sport will look good... my issue with these vehicles is that most likely only the weakest diesel engine will come with FWD... the decently powered petrol engines will be bogged down by AWD... no use to me whatsoever in the UK where AWD is totally unnecessary! Shame as I quite fancy a 250+hp M Sport version of this!
There's a new M-Sport X trim. This is the trim I saw and it looked fantastic. Imagine the ruggedness of a X-Line blended with the sportiness of the M-Sport in a really well put together way.

I thought the even number X series will look similar but only differ in size.
Like X2 will look like a smaller X4 and X6? I swear the concept I saw of X2 is far from that image.
