Engine plastic top cover melted?

Hi guys,

Have you guys faced issues where the top engine plastic cover got melted little bit on top of the turbos?

I heard the oem cats get clogged up and overheat....even cause fires....you may want to confirm thats not the issue

Actually im using fabspeed catless downpipe since 3months ago!

As a precaution you should wrap the pipes and maybe fabricate a shield too

thanks guys for the help, we figured it out, the guys who installed the downpipes didnt put the heatshield!

I wonder what would happen if an engineer forgot to put on the heat shield on a spacecraft coming back from the moon?
