BMWUSA 2013 M5 Online Builder is Up!

COMMENTS

Following the release of the full U.S. 2013 M5 order and price guide last week, the U.S. M5 online configurator is now available at BMWUSA.com.

The U.S. 2013 M5 order bank is set to open soon (we were told sometime the first week of May), at which point dealers will find out their M5 allocations and be able to submit customer orders. Production for U.S. bound M5s begin in July, for September delivery, and M5 European Deliveries begin in early September.

For more information and discussions regarding M5 pricing, ordering, and tracking, see our new subforum F10 M5 Pricing, Ordering, Tracking, and European Delivery

I just did my configuration. I did not see the Black Piano Finish Trim. I guess only U.S. delivery is assumed as there is no way to indicate ED. Also, going straight to BMWUSA, I can't find a link for this M5 configurator. Anyway, thanks for posting this link Jason.

Got it, thanks. When i configure the car and ad the 20 inch wheels, it automatically adds the carbon ceramic breaks... Don't think all the bugs are worked out.

I noticed the front ventilated seats and comfort access are separate $0 options whereas I thought they were part of the Exec package. I too think they are working out the kinks.

No rear seat entertainement option, no carbon fiber trim option, I agree I think the configurator is still being built for USA, I bet that's why it's not posted on BMWUSA site yet.

They don't have the individual trims on here yet.

Yep. Noticed that too but the price didn't include the carbon brakes I don't think.

So in order to get the 20inch wheels, you have to order the carbon brakes?

Looks like it's still in beta stage and has some kinks to be worked out.

Seems this truest might be a "Beta" release. The piano black is only available with the gray leather. And I assume the CC brakes are also a beta issue.

Definitely full of bugs. So is the CA a no-cost option, as is the Sat radio? They should just have it as standard equipment if so, can't see why anyone would not want them if free.

What are the extra buttons on the lower part of the dash (LHS) once you click HUD?

Would love to see images of the graphite individual leather.

According to the brochure I just got (courtesy of BMW1986) the individual trims are only allowed with the individual interiors. Im just not certain what that means though as Individual means if you pay, you can get essentially what you want. Perhaps if you choose otherwise, it would just delay your production (?). Then again, this table also states you cannot have a standard paint with an individual interior.

Yes. All F10s can be started without putting the key in the ignition as a standard feature. Comfort access ads the ability to unlock the car by simply touching the door handle.

Kinda blows how if you get individual leather, you cannot get it in Full (only Extended). Defeats a big part of the attractiveness IMO.
