I think it's important to understand the costs involved in a product before categorically claim it's too expensive! How much has AMS paid for the pwd solution for instance? Early quotes was $460.000,- I'm pretty sure it's not that much now, but it might still be a considerable amount... Then add the same R&D cost that every new model that they make a tune for incurs. And on top of that, you need to make a profit to pay the wages and rent.

At 3k they might make a huge profit, or they might have the same profit margin as they do on other tunes they offer. Neither of us know, because we do not know the cost involved in this product. You can't just assume the cost is $500 and that the rest is profit.

I'm at work, dont have the time to argue every wild assumptions you made.
Regarding the camber plates,my kit came with Vorshlag camber plates, koni DA's and VVS springs.I'd be surprised if Vorshlag would sell their camber plates to TC Kline for less than $100 while they can't keep em in stock going for over $350.

Gintani must be losing their pants for offering an FX ECU flash for $1,299.

Sorry, I didnt mean to upset all the M tax defenders.

Idk how business is done in Panama, but a reputable company would do a lengthy road test to make sure the tune is safe...but I don't know what I'm talking about.

You think that's reasonable, i dont, that's how forums work.
Well I feel it is ridiculous to spend 3k on suspension when you get no real HP out of it yes it improves ride handling but it's not worth 3k to me.

Getting better! Martin is hard at work trying to maximize things while keeping everything happy

Blue line is stock, red line is the latest tune...all on 93 octane. We have to take a break for a bit as Martin needs to get to Florida for the 1/2 mile event with our 2000+ whp GT-R but he is going to jump right back on this when he gets back.

Sure, the stage1 tunes are additive based by design. It can be used to add boost as a function of meth flow on the OEM or any flash map.

Not if you track or autocross your car. Assuming the guy behind the wheel can drive, Most bang for the buck will be tires, camber plates, coilovers, sway bars....hp mod on a 500+hp car would be probably at the bottom of the list.

For a lot of us this is an awesome development and we are interested in the results being posted on this thread.

I agree. For the track no more power is needed until I learn to deal with what it has already. I'm not comfortable using all this HP yet, and if I had 100 more to deal with, it would just be more difficult. But the lure of straight-line speed and acceleration is hard to fight, and I'm sure a tune is in my future at some point. And who knows, if they are able to modify the power curve, maybe those extra horses/torque might be more manageable if they arrive higher in the rpm band?

That would be a welcome development. Moving the extra power to a higher rpm band / range would be a good way of removing unwanted surprises. At this stage in MDM mode when I put my foot down in the lower rpm range, it becomes a happy mess pretty quickly, and I agree that extra power is being wasted on eating up rear tires.

Eric, on your most recent graph the car stops at 6800rpm. Can you keep it going to 7200rpm? I'm also curious if you can change the limiter to maybe 7500rpm and see if it keeps making power up that high?

We could spin it higher but power is going to continue to fall off as the turbos are out of breath at that point. Raising a rev limiter is only a good idea of you are leaving power on the table. In this case we are not.

The other reason they are doing it is to avoid hitting the limiter....
