dont know why people like alcantara on a steering wheel, it actually provides less grip than a regular leather wheel. i found i had to grip the wheel harder at all times just to hold the position, otherwise my hands would slip.

Couldn't make it up to C&C today but I'm hoping to make it next week. Looks like it was a big turn out today. Hopefully next week!

Runningthingz, your car looks clean! Great job on the mods.

Are the Vorsteiner's 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears? Do you mind me asking what offsets you're running?

Offset is +25 front and +30 rear. Tire size is 265/30/21 and 295/25/21.

Thanks. How do you like the Gruppe M? Do you notice any difference in power and sound?

Can you make it up to the OC for next weekend's Cars & Coffee? I know a bunch of us would like to check out your ride!

In all honesty, I'n not that impressed with the GruppeM. I noticed two distinct sounds; the first is when you have the windows down, you can really hear the turbos spooling up when accelerating hard which sounds great and is not too much. But I don't roll with the windows down all that much, so not that beneficial for me.

The second, with the windows up while accelerating hard you really hear the air getting sucked into the GruppeM. The sound is not sexy at all and actually sounds a bit scratchy, like the air is hitting something that is obstructing it which makes a faint shaking/whistling sound. Its also very loud in the cabin and a bit annoying. I found myself more focused on the bad sound coming from the front vs the amazing sound from the rear (Akrapovic). From the outside, it sounds too modded for me. You can really tell there is something going on under the hood which doesn't fit with my subtle agressive look.

In regards to the power, I didn't notice any kind of increase.

All in all, I would not recommend the GruppeM. It looks beautiful, but the annoying sound outweighs the looks. I think too much effort was put into the performance & design aspect and not enough focus on the sound. For an intake that costs $3.5K, I expected more.

Very interesting...I appreciate your input. It's kind of a bummer to hear it's more cosmetic than anything.

You should definitely come to c&c next weekend. I need to see the frozen white in the flesh.

It sticks much better with driving gloves than leather. I have it in my race car and it's like velcro. Otherwise I agree.

The wheels look great! The whole look of the car is clean and classy.

Do you mind sharing the contact info of the shop that did your roof wrap?
