Have holes too...first US production week run... Whatever that was. At least I had no oil pump issue.

So are the holes good or evil ?

I didn't pull the whole airbox out, so I could not look for part numbers. Realoem is not showing any block off breakout on the air box for NA or Euro cars (or for the charcoal filters). My guess is that the air box was changed, so to get the plates you'll need to get new air boxes.

Right on. So you have a baseline, charcoal filters and no plates. After you do the pull with plates and charcoal filters, can you do one more pull with no charcoal filters?

Waiting for anxiously for the results.

Did you get just the plates, or the entire new air boxes ?

Thanks for doing this dyno comparison & sharing with us.
Looking forward to the results.

Except the hole in the bottom of the E60 box led to the lower vent. This one appears to be just an opening.

I actually grabbed the right tool while out and it was a snap.

Then while tightening everything up the bit fell down inside the engine. I heard it hit the bottom pan. I assume it will just fall out the drain hole but I'm going to call the service center to ask what they do in those situations.

I don't want to pull the pan off. I know there is not risk. Just mentally knowing what I did will piss me off.

Doh!!

Edit: I had plates and pulled the carbon filters. Added 1200whp
