Guys, please check this out,
http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=658109

2012 Geneva: F20 125i M Performance with Slick Steering Wheel

That steering wheel is nothing but amazing, it looks so aggressive and sexy, thats really my cup of tea, and i think it looks better than the OEM steering wheel for m5

are we able to order it? or it is just for 125I?

I guess not, but the M6 steering wheel will be available for the M6 later in the year.

Yeah the M6 might retrofit into the M5. I dont mind the M5 steering wheel.

Some have made comments on the paddles which I can understand. The M3 paddles are way nicer. The M5 are the same as the std 5 series.

I love the paddle feel on the M5 much more than my M3. I am talking about the feel, not looks. I find the M3's paddles to be too stiff.

Interesting Clar. I wonder if you could retrofit just the paddles so thereby maintain the new M5 feel.

I liked the M3 feel. The old E60 M5 was not as nice. I cant comment on the new M5.

Sorrry OT but how is your mileage and driving impressions vs the M3 as you drive the M5 more.

Heyyy ladies you guys are sooooo off topic, plz tell me that if you guys like the steering wheel or not,
and if this is available for f10 m5,

Btw, for my personal opinion, if we assume that M5 = Denzel Washington, the M6 would be David Beckham, move the steering wheel from a M6 to a M5 is just like move david beckham's head to Denzel Washington's body, it doesn't work. the steering wheel from the m6 is too fashion and too modern than M5

This performance steering wheel so far is my favorite, it got that Enzo feel

Except the M5 is no Enzo. I do agree swapping stering wheels will a very individual preference/taste item.

I dont plan on swapping on my order.

Love that steering wheel myself. It's not just for the 125i. Did you download the catalog at that link? You can see it fits the 3 series and 5 series also. Wouldn't be surprised if it also fits the new M5, but I don't have confirmation on that.

I don't believe the 5 Series model though has the shift lights on the wheel; just the 1 series. But you can get that Alcantra M wheel for the M5.

The Alcantara steering wheel that fits the 5 seriers has no gauges. Its just a std steering wheel with the the flat base.

The Alcantara/Carbon unit with gauges only appears to fit the 1 series and 3 series.

The performance steering like some have said, it not very much different from the standard 5's except for the flat bottom and Alcantara. No Alcantara for me as my hands can get a little sweaty sometimes. I will definitely swap my M5's wheel with the M6's once it becomes available unless the paddle feel sucks. I don't see anything awkward with that as the M5 already has very sporting touches on the outside. I find the wheel to be a bad match for the car's characters.

The main thing i don't like about the M5's steering wheel is the size of it. I climb back and forth between it and the M3 and the M3's wheel always feel nicely smaller lending it a much more sporty feel and less hand movement steering the car.
