I was never as mad at an electronic device as I was that day. I was ready to send a box of my shit to their HQ in California, but I googled it and it's illegal.

I will never buy another Logictech device.
That sucks. Ours back at home is still going strong after 3 years. Its on its third tv, third receiver, new cable box, bluray, etc. Its probably been reprogrammed ten times without ever a hitch. The only time it gets a little wonky is when the battery is about to die.

Thanks Spoolin.

I think all the channel providers in this country are evil. Bell's PVR is pretty sweet though...

This is still work in progress, these picture were taken just as I finished the construction work. I now have 4 recliner theater seating and it has a 60in Sony DLP TV. It is designed to be used with a projector if I want at a later date. I am in the the process of getting the lighting controls set up.

I just put in an Onkyo TX-NR708 with 7 speaker, 2 subwoofers and seat thumpers for each of the recliners. My video sources are a Directv HR-24 DVR STB with 1TB of storage, I have Blue-Ray player, an Old Sony VHS player, (still have kid movies on VHS) and I have NetFlix box. I also have my Mac connect to the receiver so I can surf the web on the big screen or play movies I have stored on a network drive in the house.

This was built in the basement and the only problem is the whole house shakes when a good movie with lots of bass is playing. I insulated the walls and ceiling but I did not go down the path of putting in the sound proof wall boards and isolation strips between the wall board and the studs.

Then take some updated pics!! These do not do that room justice.

Looks awesome. I kinda like the ceiling, prolly better in person too.

You def should have put in the rock salt panels for sound proofing/insulation/fire proofing. That's all they use when you watch that remodel show that does only basements on one of the home channels.

Pictures do not do the ceiling justice, it does look better in person especially from below while you are sitting there.

I did research all the possible sound proofing options and the cost was going to be high. The only problem is with the bass and honestly, I believe it is traveling through the concrete floor and up the foundation since I can feel it on the second floor outside walls. I ran into a similar problem when I live in a townhouse which shared a common slab, the wall were sound proof but my neighbors use to complain about bass rolling across the their floor.

Yes they are LED, actually 120V LED rope lights, I looked at all the other options and for the cost and LED rope light did exactly the same thing and a lower cost per foot. The only lesson learn is you must put them on WDM Dimmer. They will sell you these WDM dimmers which are stand alone, however, Lutron makes a 120V WDM dimmer. If you use them on a regular 120V dimmer you will fry section of the lights.

Here is how it looks today, as I said I still have some work to do.

For those of you who are interested each of the recliners have these mounted to the bottom side for the 3-d audio effect, you feel the dinosaur come before you see it.

I thought my 1 monster amp was loud, time for an investment. Then again I don't do the home theater thing... yet. Inspiring!

Working on my home theater (nothing impressive like what we see in here).

Anyone know a dependable place to buy wall mount for a 47" flat screen for cheap? Best buy is way way too expen$ive!

Another question: Can I place a speaker up next to the LED flat screen?

Speakers have magnet and in the old days, magnet distort the image of TV (CRT). Is this still true with today LCD/LED tvs?

I want to place my center speaker right below the LED TV.
