Waiting for M5 ED....pirelli or Michelin tires ??
My M5 went into production last week ED. I have read all the reviews and it appears the best and preferred tires for the front and rear are the michelin PSS rather than the Pirelli p zero max performance tire. From what i can tell BMW will put one or the other on the car. Is there any way i can request the Michelin so im not stuck with the Pirelli??
Any thoughts ?? |

AFAIK, it it purely random and you cannot make a specific request. That sais, the vast majority seem to be coming with the PSS.

I did ED of my M5 CP in late August and I got Pirelli's. There is no way to request a specific brand of tires. I don't expect it is completely random (don't expect someone or the system just picking a set at will for a new build), but so far nobody has spilled the beans or figured out their algorithm.
