***THIS THREAD IS NOT TO COMPETE WITH UCLA95'S PLANS FOR DINNER BUT TO GIVE OTHERS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THOSE WANTING TO DRIVE A LITTLE IN THE EVENING***

For those doing ED on 9/1, BarryB and I were planning on doing a drive 1-2 hours south of Munich to put some miles on our new toys and see another part of Germany. We were thinking of Salzburg or Garmisch. The last pickups at the Welt are 4:00pm on Saturday. Those owners should be done by 5ish. So if we meet at the Welt at 5pm on Saturday we can all caravan down. Please reply to this thread if you are interested in the caravan to dinner in South Germany.

Garmisch may be easier as we do not have to cross any borders ( and is more scenic than Salzburg).

I don't care which place we go to. I've been to Salzburg before and its a beautiful city. Can you guys just imagine the pictures that will come out of this Caravan! We'll probably make every auto magazine in the world!

BarryB and I are planning on heading to the Nurburgring on Sunday. We could caravan up on Sunday AM from the Marriott Munich?

And maybe go via Stuttgart and visit the P car or MB museum as the track only opens at 3 on Sun.
To be clear the plan is to watch and make the pilgrimage vs drive on the track. Ring taxi is not running that wkd, unfortunately.

Over the next six weeks lets plan a route for the trip. I can "map it" and then send directions for the route to everyone

It is indeed very cool , just note it is currently under construction and the north/west side is all covered with scaffolding (http://www.neuschwanstein.de/englisch/tourist/index.htm)

Yeah I found this out a couple of months ago when I was planning my route for my ED. I decided to just skip it, as it is not the same with it all covered up.
